The Canal Winchester Chamber of Commerce (“the Chamber”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our members and contacts. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and with whom we may share it.

We collect the following information from members and prospective members:
- Business name
- Business address
- Business phone number
- Business website
- Business contact first and last name
- Email address.
This information is collected at the time of membership enrollment, renewal, or through direct communication with the Chamber.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use member information to:
- Administer and manage your membership
- Communicate Chamber news, events, and programming
- Distribute email communications through our third-party email marketing platform
- Maintain your membership record in our membership management system
- Connect you with Chamber benefits, programs, and partner services.
3. Information We Share
The Chamber may share the following member information with select third-party partners for the purpose of delivering membership benefits and Chamber-affiliated programming:
- Business name
- Business address
- Business phone number
- Business website
- Business contact first and last name
- Business contact email address.
We share this information only with partners who directly support the value of your Chamber membership. Current partners include:
Southern Ohio Chamber Alliance (SOCA)
A regional chamber network that supports advocacy, programming, and resources for member businesses across Southern Ohio.
Sedgwick (Workers’ Compensation Program)
Our workers’ compensation group partner, through which Chamber members may access group rates and program benefits.
Chamber Energy Program
A Chamber-affiliated energy savings program available to members.
We do not sell member information. We do not share member information for general marketing purposes unrelated to Chamber programming or benefits.

4. Directory Listings
As a benefit of membership, Chamber members are listed in both the annual printed membership directory and the online member directory on the Chamber website. Directory listings typically include business name, address, phone number, and website.
Members are included in both directories by default.
If you prefer to be excluded from one or both directories, please contact cwchamber@canalwinchester.com.
The printed directory and its corresponding online file are produced annually; requests for removal from either may not take effect until the following edition. The searchable member directory at canalwinchester.com can be updated at any time upon request.
5. Data Security
The Chamber takes reasonable steps to protect member information from unauthorized access or disclosure. Access to member data is limited to Chamber staff and authorized volunteers who need it to carry out Chamber operations.
Volunteers, including board members, receive only the specific information necessary for a given task (e.g., a name and business name for event check-in) and are not granted broad access to member records.
6. Your Choices
You may contact us at any time to:
• Review or update your member information
• Request that your information not be shared with third-party partners
• Unsubscribe from email communications.
Opting out of third-party partner sharing may limit access to certain Chamber benefits and programs.
7. Policy Updates
The Chamber reserves the right to update this privacy policy as needed. Members will be notified of material changes via email. Questions or concerns about any updates may be directed to cwchamber@canalwinchester.com.
